Prepare your 3D models for animation by learning the fundamentals of rigging!
Rigging is an important technique for 3D animation by which one creates a skeletal-like armature that can be manipulated to move parts of the 3D mesh around. Not only does rigging make animation easier, but is considered an essential skill set for any 3D modeler.
While working hands-on with a model in Blender, you’ll discover everything required for rigging – from setting up the “bones” to weight painting and controlling which parts of the mesh are affected by each bone. You’ll also learn how pre-made animations can then be applied to your rig to quickly get your projects up and running.
By the end, you’ll have the foundations you’ll need to master rigging any kind of 3D model and expand your skills in creating custom assets.
This course assumes basic familiarity with Blender.
